A Grant from the Czech National Agency goes to cooperation of organisations which grant wishes to seriously ill children.
Zlatá rybka has received a grant from the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research for an international cooperation project under the Erasmus+ programme!
Out of 23 applications submitted, four were selected and among them was our project focused on international cooperation with Zlatá rybka's partner organisations.
In 2022, we reached out to foreign organizations that share the same mission as Golden Fish and grant wishes to seriously ill children. However, each of them approaches wish granting in a different way. One of the specifics of these organizations is that they are unique in their countries, leaving no choice but to draw inspiration from each other or create customized education.
In February 2023, the collaborating organisations visited Golden Fish to celebrate the 1000th wish granted. The visit was so successful that it grew into regular contact. The mutual sharing of experience and know-how proved to be so useful for all that the decision was made to apply for a grant awarded by the House of International Cooperation under the Erasmus+ programme.
The project includes:
➡️ Exchange internships aimed at improving internal processes, sharing inspiration, experience and know-how.
➡️ A special course on communication with seriously ill children and their families, aimed at increasing the confidence of the staff of the organisations and a better understanding of the processes the family goes through
➡️ An online conference focusing on the topic of wish fulfillment and its impact on the well-being of the patient and his/her family
➡️ Website and other promotional materials to raise awareness of our organizations' mission and their contribution to the lives of seriously ill children and their families. The website should also connect the professional public with the organizations.
But against the backdrop of all these activities, our greatest wish remains that this project will also increase the quality and availability of services provided by organizations that grant the wishes of seriously ill children.
